Q: What is a zipline adventure?
A: A zipline adventure is an exhilarating activity in which trained specially-trained personnel help guests with no previous experience or special skills traverse ziplines (horizontal steel cables), from platform to platform, supported by specialized climbing equipment, to experience the eco-tour environment in a safe, entertaining way.

Q: What is a zipline?
A: Ziplines, also called ‘traverses’, are the main method of transportation through the tour and are the essence of the zipline adventure. They consist of a steel cable anchored between two points to which the participant is connected with pulleys that permit movement along the line from one side to another propelled by gravity and momentum. Our double stainless steel ziplines are fastened so as to permit the equalization of tension during the participant’s progress with a retainer system that supports each line independently in case of the failure of one. Failure, however, is a remote possibility since each line can support more seventy-five times the weight of a typical guest.

Although the lines are designed so that the participant may be easily stopped at the next platform, some velocity adjustment is required on some traverses and for some participants which is achieved by the participant applying downward pressure to the line with the gloved hand.

Q: Do I need any previous experience or special skills to do the tour?
A: No, guests do not require any previous experience or special skill to participate in the zipline adventure as our specially-trained, English-speaking guides accompany you to facilitate your safe and enjoyable progress through the tour. The guides explain and demonstrate techniques and procedures and provide ecological, cultural or historical information as well.

Q: How do I get to Zip Guam?
A: Our zipline adventure is located on the property of Hilton Guam Resort & Spa in Tumon Bay. See Map>

Q: Hours of operation?
A: We are open year round including holidays from; 9:00 am – 5:00pm.

Q: How long does the tour last?
A: The zipline adventure lasts about (1) hour, depending on the size and needs of the group.

Q: What are the minimum physical requirements to participate in the tour?
In order to keep all our guests as safe as possible, participants must meet the following minimum requirements. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone for safety reasons. Please refer to Minimum Requirements to Participate page >

Q: Is there a weight or size limit?
A: Yes, the maximum weight limit for each participant on the tour is 127 kg (280 lbs). This limit is not determined by the capacity of the elements or equipment but is required because body weight affects the crossing speed on the traverses under the effect of gravity and momentum and individuals who weigh more than the limit could have difficulty controlling their speed, endangering themselves and other participants standing on the platforms.

In addition to being under the weight limit, guests must also fit in the equipment (harness, helmet and gloves) in a safe manner and as a result, some guests who weigh less than the limit may still not be able to participate if the equipment doesn't fit them correctly. As a general guideline, your waist must measure 120 cm/47" or less and your thighs 70 cm/27" or less and the maximum head diameter that our helmets will fit is 61 cm/24", nevertheless there may be other fitting constraints or centre of gravity issues that can only be evaluated in person that could preclude participation. Children must have a torso length of at least 45 cm/18". While we do not wish to exclude anyone from enjoying the tour, we reserve the right to do so if necessary to keep all our guests as safe as possible.

Please check with our reservationist if you have any concerns about this.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Please refer to what to wear & bring

Q: Does the tour operate in the rain?
A: That’s part of the fun! The tour operates in all weather conditions except when there is lightning overhead, high winds or especially-heavy rain. Usually, we only wait a short time until conditions improve; however if we are unable to do the tour within a reasonable time, we will reschedule you for a later time.

Q: Can two people zip on a line at the same time?
A: We don't permit tandem traversing with adults due to the potential risk of excessive velocity; however children age twelve and under can ride with a guide if desired.

Q: Can children participate?
A: Yes, children age 6 and up can participate providing they meet the minimum requirements; children under this age cannot participate because our insurance doesn't cover them. Sorry, we do not offer child care at the site. We have special equipment for children however children must have a minimum torso length of 45 cm/18" in order to fit in the equipment in a safe manner.

Q: Is it safe?
A: Please refer to >SAFETY

Q: What if I am afraid of heights?
A: Fear of heights is a normal and healthy reaction. Everyone feels nervous at the beginning of the tour and some may find the experience challenging throughout, however our guides will do everything possible to support you and to provide you with a low-pressure, achievable experience.

Q: How does the tour impact on the environment?
A: Obviously this type of activity has an impact on the ecosystem in which it is located; however, we build and operate the tour to minimize that impact as much as possible. We don’t perforate trees, cut vegetation indiscriminately or alter natural structures.

Q: If I don't want to do the Tour can I watch?
A: Unfortunately there is no area where you can observe the entire tour but you can see the start and finish.

Q: Can I smoke on the tour?
A: Sorry, for the enjoyment of all participants and the protection of the equipment, elements and environment you can't smoke on the tour, however we do have a smoking area for your use just before we depart for the elements.

Q: Are there bathrooms on the tour?
